The EMS Instructor Courses have been designed and developed in accordance with the DOT/NHTSA 2002 National Guidelines for Educating EMS Instructors & the National Education Standards. 

The course content provides an introduction to educational theory and  evidence-based best practices for all levels of experience as an EMS educator. This level is required in order to precept in the field or to work with students for hands on learning.

This course is the prerequisite for the EMS Instructor II course.

  • While this is an in house, instructor led course. We will also have resources on Google Classroom. You will need a Gmail address to access the resources. Once we receive the Gmail address we will send the Google Classroom invitations.

    You will need to pick up your book prior to the course to prepare.
  • We will be working from the Foundations of Education 3rd Edition. The textbook is included in the tuition. Please bring the following to class:

    1- Laptop or tablet
    2- USB flash drive
    3- 3 Ring Binder
    4- Foundations of Education 3rd Edition (if received prior to class)
