Gansai, or traditional Japanese watercolor, is a unique painting material that combines the best attributes of watercolor, gouache and acrylics in one!  In this class we will explore technical applications to Gansai painting including color theory and application, mark-making and layering, and painting metallic surfaces and other complex subject matter.  Some experience with watercolor is desirable.
