Develop critical “seeing” and compositional skills to create dynamic drawings. Working in charcoal, chalk & graphite, students explore the drawing process and graphic/ expressive possibilities. Through various projects, in lecture & critiques, we examine composition, light and shadow for dramatic effect, line as discovery and expressive vehicle, techniques of rendering form, texture, and portrait studies.
