Working from photos/sketches, landscape will be approached with a focus on pictorial structure, color and space. Using a reductive approach, students first construct collages using simplified shapes and Color-aid paper. Then we will paint, structuring landscape through light, color/ tone, atmosphere, and surface texture, focusing on abstract elements. $10 supply fee paid to instructor.
