No experience is necessary to participate in these fundamental classes, only a desire to have fun working with clay in a figurative format. We will cover a basic introduction for modeling the human form in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Instruction will cover introductory material for beginning students. Students will focus on observational skills, proportion, anatomy, simple construction, and expressive composition, for the successful execution of a 1/3 life sized sculpture.

  • No class on September 7 (Labor Day).
  • $60 supply fee covers, clay, model, use of tools and firing fee, just bring yourself! Payable to instructor.
  • Please register in advance, class limit 10.
  • This class meets in our first floor studio in the coach house.
  • The supplies are provided by the instructor.
