Throughout history, figure painting has been an essential part of an artist’s development. It is also a principal activity at the Palette and Chisel.

In this two session class, we will paint a figure using oil paints.
We will explore figurative anatomy and pictorial composition, examine the use of color and stress the importance of drawing.

For those wanting to sharpen their skills, or learn a different approach to painting the figure, this short class will be of interest to you.

  • There is a $25 model fee payable to the instructor.
  • This class meets in our northlight studio on the 3rd floor.
  • A supply list will be emailed to you when you register. Please contact the office at fineart1012@sbcglobal.net if you'd like to see a supply list in advance of registering.
