Color Theory with Helen Oh

Helen will offer a Sunday afternoon Color Theory Workshop in oil or acrylic paint.
The topics covered are: Complementary color mixing, simultaneous and successive contrast, form rendering with warm and cool colors and glazing. If time permits, paint making using iron-oxide pigment will be also demonstrated.

Helen Oh is a visual artist. She studied painting at the School of Visual Arts, the National Academy of Design, and The Art Students League in New York. Helen teaches studio art courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and annual workshops at the New York Academy of Art.
Helen is a recipient of two Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grants, and a Julius Hallgarten Painting Prize from the National Academy Museum. She has exhibited at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the Terra Museum of American Art, and the Butler Institute of American Arts. Collections include Columbia University and The Americas Society in NYC. Helen regularly contributes articles to the Tutorials section of the Artists Magazine.
