Learn the fundamentals of puppetry manipulation with professional puppeteers Elizabeth Dapo and Penny Russell. We will discuss hand puppets, lip sync, rod puppets, and basic marionette manipulation in addition to practical applications of puppetry (libraries, story time, fun gags with your friends). Each participant will have the opportunity to be hands on with puppets that we use in the playhouse. This class is scheduled in-person but may change due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Participants only need to bring their sense of adventure! If held in-person, students must wear masks, social distance, and adhere to CDC and local health and safety guidelines.
