This course focuses on non-silver photographic processes practiced in the early 20th century. An in-depth discussion of dichromated colloid processes such as gum bichromate, oil, and carbon will be complemented by demonstrations and hands-on practice of the oil process. Experience with hand-made photographs is helpful but not required. Skill level: Intermediate.
