In this class, students will dive into the world of expressive portraiture using ink and wash techniques. Through guided exercises, they will explore the power of line, shadow, and contrast to create dynamic, emotionally resonant portraits. Students will experiment with continuous line drawing, blind contour, and tonal shading to capture the essence of their subject. Each session will build on the previous, giving students the tools to develop their own unique style and create striking, finished ink portraits.
