This camp is for the camper interested in exploring ideas, emotions, and personal stories through both words and visual art. Students choose or write a poem or song lyric and transform it into a mixed-media artwork using collage, color, texture, and expressive mark-making. Along the way, campers will learn the history of collage, fundamentals of layout and composition, and how to work confidently with a variety of materials. In addition, campers will also design and create a personal deck of cards, combining text and imagery to express themselves. The camp concludes with a casual exhibit and poetry sharing for friends and family. A $40 supply fee is due the first day of camp. Tuition includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. 5 sessions.
