Flamenco Dancing with Bastón (Cane)

Class | Available

Join us for a high-impact flamenco workshop focused on the bastón (cane)—a rhythmic, theatrical tool that brings bold flair to your dancing. In just a few sessions, you’ll unlock technique, musicality, and choreographic expression, no matter your experience level. In this workshop you will learn essential cane technique: grip, strikes, accents, posture; build coordination through rhythmic drills and footwork; explore short choreographic phrases with cane artistry; and receive level-appropriate guidance—from first-timers to advanced dancers. This is part of a series exploring flamenco’s most commonly used props, designed to deepen your artistry and expand your performance skills.

A limited number of canes will be available to borrow, but we recommend bringing your own if possible.
