Immerse yourself in the elegance and confidence of Belle Époque painting through the work of masters such as John Singer Sargent, James McNeill Whistler, and William Merritt Chase. Each session begins with a focused discussion and guided master copy to sharpen your eye for structure, tone, and expressive handling. We will work from a costumed model in charcoal, pastel, and oil, studying the elements that give portraits vitality while developing a stronger personal voice. Prior experience in at least one medium recommended. Model fee extra. All levels.
