Quilting Improv Class

Enjoy this free form scrap quilting class where you don't use a pattern. Beginner friendly! We will be creating our own individual art pieces. This is a fun class with no measuring! We play with design and putting fun spins on traditional quilting. There is no right or wrong we are just playing!
We can try to add textured elements like prairie points or fringe in a piece or yo-yo's for embellishment. The sky's the limit !
These are fun to make and small enough to quilt on your own. Feel free to bring a fat quarter for backing and a piece of batting and maybe go home with a nearly finished piece!

- Suggested Class Supplies
- Sewing Machine, cord and foot pedal (League has some if you need to reserve one for class)
- Various trims, Beads, ribbons, buttons (only short lengths needed for small project)
- Leftover yo-yo's , fabric hexies, etc...from other projects if you have them
- Piecing thread for your machine
- Normal sewing supplies: pins, scissors, etc.
- Various fabric scraps (pieces smaller than 6" are fine). Bright colors, pastels, black and white, whatever color scheme you prefer.
- If you don't have scraps bring fat quarters, we can also swap!
- Fat quarter for backing
- 18x22 piece of batting
