IN PERSON: Medication Administration Training - ENGLISH (6 HSN)

This MSDE-approved workshop will teach educators what they need to know when administering medication to children. Educators will learn how to give oral, topical, inhaled, and emergency medicines to infants and children; how to keep accurate records; current regulations for hygiene, safety, and measurement.
This class fulfills the MSDE/OCC requirement for child care professionals.
Please bring a bag lunch as only 30 minutes is allocated for a break.
**ATTENTION**
IF YOU REGISTER AND DO NOT SHOW UP TO CLASS, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER FOR ANY OTHER MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION TRAINING CLASSES WITH CCSS UNTIL AFTER JULY 2025.
If you know you cannot make the class ahead of time, please notify CCSS@MontgomeryCountyMD.gov as soon as possible. This will be considered an excused absence.

I am a native Washingtonian, a boy mom, soon to be mom of two men. My family is my everything. I am a nature lover, Do-It(all)-Yourselfer, and I am my brother's keeper. I have been a Registered Nurse for 25 years. In various settings I've cared for bodies and minds. I have served the pediatric population for most of my career. I was a school nurse in Washington DC and Virginia. Working in community health makes my heart happiest. I earned a masters degree in 2016 with the intent to teach nursing. In 2017 I began a new path in Montgomery County as a Child Care Health Consultant. It has been a pleasure to support the professional development of early educators, my community health heroes.
