This six hour workshop meets the OCC requirements for Emergency Preparedness training. Participants will complete an approved emergency preparedness plan in the workshop.

- To receive a certificate, students MUST:
*Attend both three-hour sessions (if you miss one, you will have to retake the class)
*Complete an emergency and disaster preparedness plan which includes maps, escape plans, staffing information, emergency numbers, etc.
*Submit your completed plan in PDF format to the instructor within 10 days of the training completion date. It is NOT the instructor's responsibility to piece together the parts of the plan into one.

I am a native Washingtonian, a boy mom, soon to be mom of two men. My family is my everything. I am a nature lover, Do-It(all)-Yourselfer, and I am my brother's keeper. I have been a Registered Nurse for 25 years. In various settings I've cared for bodies and minds. I have served the pediatric population for most of my career. I was a school nurse in Washington DC and Virginia. Working in community health makes my heart happiest. I earned a masters degree in 2016 with the intent to teach nursing. In 2017 I began a new path in Montgomery County as a Child Care Health Consultant. It has been a pleasure to support the professional development of early educators, my community health heroes.
