Summertime, an' the livin' is easy .   We all know the song.  And with a Summer Solstice acupuncture treatment, summer is a beautiful time, even in the Arizona heat.  The Solstice, next month, addresses the Fire Element's organ, the Heart.  Ancient wisdom says the Heart is the Supreme Commander (of your body); thus, the Heart is always to be treated with the greatest of love.  It is also believed the tongue is rooted in the Heart; so, this seasonal treatment is important so that you may speak your heart.  The Fire Element's emotion is joy, with the sound of laughter.  Join us in this class for Love, Laughter, Life, accompanied by the sounds of merriment & mirth.


  • Patricia Martin, Licensed Acupuncturist (Extraordinaire), is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a masters degree in communication.  She has been deeply involved with Asian medicine for over 4 decades, practicing acupuncture & natural medicine in Florida, Georgia and Arizona.  She has been on faculty at 4 acupuncture schools, on the board of 2 state professional Asian medicine associations and was appointed by a governor to the Arizona State Acupuncture Board of Medicine.  She was commended by a sitting President of the United States for her discussion with him on Asian medicine. Patricia is experienced in over fifty different styles of acupuncture, has a private practice in the northwest valley, and has been sharing her vast knowledge at RISE since 2006.  Acupuncture is a 5,000-year-old nonsurgical and nonchemical medicine which successfully improves health.  Her goal is to help patients get well and to empower them to take care of and maintain their own health.
