Abstract Expressionist Painters

The Arts | This program is completed

What is Abstract Expressionism? Where did it start? Why did it develop in New York? What were these artists trying to do? In this lecture we will discover the answer to these and other questions. We know Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko, but who were the other artists? What were they trying to do? We will cover some of the both known and not so now known Abstract Expressionist painters.
