Learn more about how vertically integrated monopoly utilities operate in Arizona, contrasted with a new energy equity model called Community Choice Energy that gives local customers choice over their energy mix, and increases renewable energy, lowers carbon emissions, and lowers rates, but without changing the way that energy is delivered to their homes or businesses.
Shelly has a 40+-year volunteer career, from fundraising for NGOs to serving as a volunteer mediator to tutoring young students in reading. She has run her own medical marketing and PR firm for 20+ years, was named one of Silicon Valley’s Women of Influence, served on the Human Relations Commission for the city of Palo Alto, CA as well as the Commission on the Status of Women for Monterey County. Shelly started Arizonans for Community Choice to dramatically increase renewable energy AZ through Community Choice Energy.
