In 1800, Congress moved from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., and placed its entire collection of books into just one room of the unfinished Capitol. Today, the several buildings of the Library of Congress collectively contain the largest and most wide-ranging repository of human expression on Earth. One of its buildings is the most beautifully ornate public structure in the United States, and another is the world's largest library building. We will explore the Library's history, buildings, collections, and services.

This is a series. Dr. Blaker reviews the class so if you missed the a class you can still attend.
