 First, we will go over the structure and functions of chromosomes and DNA. Then we will look at various tools researchers use to analyze and manipulate DNA. With this background, we will then learn about the basis and uses of various DNA tests, including genetic disorder detection, suspect identification, paternity determination, ancestry investigation, animal breed testing, and human genome examination. 

Bill Blaker

Bill Blaker is retired after a 45-year career as a research scientist and university professor. He has received teaching awards from Virginia Tech and Furman University. He has taught university courses in general science, biology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, neuroscience, English composition, statistics, and philosophy. Now, he teaches anything he finds interesting.
