UNESCO World Heritage Sites 3: What, Why, Where?
Travel | Available (Membership Required)
Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today. In the first two UNESCO* presentations, we visited a number of World Heritage Sites around the world. This time we will be looking more deeply at the background of World
Heritage sites, what they mean, why they exist, and how they came to be. In addition, there are 40 special sites (out of more than 1200) that qualified as “Mixed” sites (both Cultural and Natural), and we will be taking a look at some of
these as well. (You do NOT need to have attended the earlier UNESCO presentations to enjoy this one.)
