Join in for a fascinating and fun look at some of Arizona’s most surprising and unique natural and historical features.  Did you know that Arizona is home to one of the largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forests in the world? Or that just outside of Flagstaff, Grand Falls—also known as “Chocolate Falls”—stands taller than the American side of Niagara Falls? And tucked away near Payson is Tonto Natural Bridge, believed to be the largest natural travertine bridge on Earth.  Arizona’s geography is full of surprises. Under the right conditions, it’s even possible to snow ski and water ski on the same day—thanks to ski slopes in the north and warm lakes in the south. The state is dotted with ghost towns, remnants of historic mining camps, and unique natural wonders like Montezuma Well, a limestone sinkhole with highly carbonated water and ancient underground springs. You’ll also hear about the early Spanish explorers who passed through Arizona decades before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock—part of a rich and often overlooked chapter of Southwest history.  From dramatic geological formations to strange natural phenomena, there’s so much to learn and love about Arizona.
