From ChatGPT to virtual assistants like Alexa and Siri to the self-driving cars we now see in Phoenix, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are becoming more and more present in our daily lives. This lecture aims to help you understand the potential and its implications of AI. We will explain some of the key components that make AI possible, such as machine learning and natural language processing; discuss various types of AI, such as Generative AI, Narrow AI, and AGI; and unpack some of the promises and perils of these tools.
Stephen Carradini
Carradini, Dr. Stephen- Is an assistant professor of technical communication at Arizona State University—Polytechnic Campus. His research focuses on implementing emerging technologies such as AI in private and public sector workplaces. He is currently building a public information chatbot called Waterbot that will give Arizonans information about water management in their state.
